 Advanced 3-Month T-Group 2.0 Cohort

At the end of just about every T-Group I lead, someone says, “I wish we had more time; it feels like we were getting somewhere deep.”

I think this may be the case no matter what we do, because there are endless depths to discover in our relationships. But the time has come for me to stretch beyond MY comfort zone and assemble a group to embark upon an even longer, deeper, more transformative journey.

What’s great (and terrible) about these closed groups is that we’re stuck together long enough to get WELL past the “honeymoon” phase of connection. We’re going to be paying very close attention to each other for a very long time; what you didn’t even notice about someone in weeks one or two becomes real obvious in weeks four or five (or eleven). And because it’s T-Group, there’s no escape hatch, we have to practice working with whatever’s there, giving brave yet skillful feedback about what it’s like to be in connection with each other.

Sometimes I say it like this, “If we were stuck on a deserted island together and had to collaborate in order to survive, we’d get real clear real fast on the triggers, challenges, and differences that exist between us. And we’d have no choice but to work through all the stuff that’s getting in the way of us being connected.”

The experiment of these groups is a lot like that: what happens when we take away the option of simply walking away from one another when we start to get uncomfortable?

Confronting though it may be, where else do we get this kind of reflection? It’s as rare as it is because most people would rather not risk our wrath in order to speak it. But this means that most of us live in an insulated bubble, unable to access the truth of how we really impact the people around us. So this is the group to join if you’re up for stepping outside of that bubble.
